Introduction

This paper intends to discuss the business situation faced by Elegant Elephant Noodles. The Elegant Elephant Noodles is a famous Thai eatery and it has been involved within the social media activities extensively in order to promote the business. The business owner named Ramen has hired en employee in order to handle the social media for Thai eatery Elegant Elephant Noodles. The employees named Shiny seems to be responsible for all the social media activities. One day, the eatery owner asked Shiny to offer 'free meals' on Monday evenings to the first ten customers wearing elegant shoes. However, Shiny by mistake made an offer to give 'free meals' to anyone wearing shoes. As a result, there was a huge crowed witnessed at the restaurant. However, when the people were present with bills; they started complaining loudly. Same complaints were made on Twitter and reached to Joe Duffy Show. The Owner of the business seems to be extremely enraged with the action of Shiny. The purpose of this paper is to explore the various legal consequences of the mistake made by Shiny. Further, it will be also explored that whether there is a presence of any valid and legal contact for the use of Twitter. In other words, the two questions asked in the assignment will be answered after researching about the significance of laws for deals made on internet.

Is it possible to conclude a valid legal contact using Twitter? Were customers wearing shoes entitled to a free meal in Elegant Elephant Noodles?

There is a significant question about the validity of contract prevailing between the offers made on Twitter. Legally speaking, the customers were surely entitled to have a free meal in Elegant Elephant Noodles. This is because that the mistake was done at the part of an employee within the restaurant and therefore the restaurant must honor the offer made to avoid any legal circumstances. Also, if the Elegant Elephant Noodles do not honor the offer made; the reputation of business would be prominently hurt. As far as the question of prevalence of valid legal contract is concerned, I believe that the valid contract exists. The validation of contract revolves around the offers being made and their acceptance. The offer made by Thai eatery Elegant Elephant Noodles is essentially a valid offer because the offer was accepted by the users and they visited the restaurant with a hope that they will get a 'free meal' (Delta & Matsuura, 2008 Pp. 5-9).

The customers remain essentially entitled to have a free meal in Elegant Elephant Noodles mainly because it was a result of improper communication between the staff of the restaurant and once the offer had made; it have to be honored. A contract is said to be valid when the offer is made, the offer is accepted and there is also a mutual exchange of valuables between the parties.
