In this report, we would analyse the media reporting of Gaza incidents. Media reporting plays a vital role in forming the public perception on an issue. The series of incidents in Gaza were reported by mass media in a variety of ways. All forms of media i.e. news reports, social networking and print media are vital to providing a true account of events. Hence, any discrepancies in news information can sway the public opinion. It is believed that severe issues of reporting occurred in covering the Gaza incident.
Technique Applied for Analysis
In order to conduct a thorough 'Media Analysis of Gaza Incident” and to critically analyse the media reports; news reports from major televised channels i.e. CNN & Al-Jazeera would be analysed. A 'content analysis' would be conducted on the published news reports on the Gaza incident. The content of the headlines, cover stories would be thoroughly examined for relevance, validity and reliability. By thoroughly assessing the relevance and validity of published material; it would allow us to draw inferences on the effects of such reports.
