EARLY CHILDHOOD LITERACY

Early Childhood Literacy

Introduction

At this time, extra ordinary consideration is given to the education of early childhood, along with focusing on premature literacy attainment. Surveys and recent researches shows that across the entire country, educators, researchers and politicians are trying to ensure that young kids are attaining the appropriate educational opportunities, in order to develop and enhance their powerful literacy skills. The early child hood literacy programs and frame works plays a vital role in developing the strong literacy skills of the child. It is a fact that, it is very hard to teach the small kids. It is because of the reason that they are not capable of learning things through books. In order to teach the kid, it is necessary for the instructor or parents to teach those kids by several tools and techniques. Those techniques may include the technique of phonics. Phonics plays a significant role in teaching the kids about several different words and things (Wasik, 2012, pp. 200-202).

In the given case study, a kid named Aaryan found difficulty in learning things. It was because of the reason that his parents did not use appropriate tools and techniques for his learning. It was due to the reason that his parents were working parents and they could not give him proper time. They brought several learning books, color pencils and crayons but, he did not show any intersect in those things. He found those things boring because no body motivated him to use those nooks and color pencils. Hence, appropriate tools of early education were needed in order to develop his interest in books and color pencils (Prior & Gerard, 2009, pp. 100-102).

In the proceeding paper it is discussed that how the teachers and parents can contribute in early child hood education. The proper frame work is also provided in the proceeding discussion. The proceeding paper also incorporates the tools and techniques, which may play a vital role in the literacy of young children.

Description of Dramatic Play

A carpeted narrow staircase, designed for one person to use at a time, led to a creaky black door, which opened to a black-painted room with one wall covered in mirrors hidden by the drape of a thick black velvet curtain, hitting the black wooden floor covered in scratches and scrapes. The wear and tear demonstrated that the space contained a history of movement: the patterns etched on the floor showed movement of furniture, movement of the body through tap shoe scuffs, and accidental or purposeful dropping of heavy objects, which permanently left their mark through grooves found in the floor. The walls were peppered with handprints and the ceiling exposed pipes and wires, feeling unfinished.

At first glance, the space didn't look inviting. Upon entering the rehearsal room, the musty smell of sweat attempted to deter me, while dust danced around me highlighted by a beam of light from the cracks of unreachable windows lining the top of the room, pushing against the ...
