Introduction

Slavery occurs when a group of individuals has superiority over another group on the basis of certain grounds such as race. From the history, we can extract that U.S has suffered the discrimination between white and black peoples of America and it has also been observed that American, white people, have multiple times created hindrances for black American from being equal citizen of America as white people were. In the early days, having people as slaves was a common practice. The slaves were being discriminated on the basis of race, caste and creed. In America, same thing was gaining popularity in the 17th and 18th century. People who were rich and had their own businesses either on a small scale or large scale used to buy slave for their daily routine work. The history of slavery began in America when slaves from Africa came to the North American part in order to facilitate the production of tobacco and other, individual crops. These African-American slaves played a vital role in the building of foundation of American economy.

In the late 17th century, the importance of slavery was more highlighted after the invention of the cotton gin as compared to the preceding era. Later by mid of 19th century, the abolition of this slavery that became legal in some areas of America, took some serious turns and inflamed debate on a large scale upon the slavery that could result in the separation of American nation through a bloody civil war in America. This expected war could occur purely due to unethical and harsh behavior of those Americans who were masters to many black slaves. Among these slaves, there was a name that brought the different perspectives, one of masters and other of slaves, openly among the people and laid down the foundation of a complain made from slaves end. This complain made through writing a book named as Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass, an American slave in which Mr. Frederick express his disapproval of slavery so well that no anger from his words can be observed. Mr. Frederick has written his personal experiences in such a manner that the reader could almost canvas themselves in the writers place. The birth city of Frederick Douglass was in Tuckahoe, Maryland. The exact year of birth of Mr. Fredrick is unknown as he does not know accurately. In this essay, the complete experience of a slave's life from his or her first day to the last day is explained that how they have struggled through this stressful time and survived to tell their stories of freedom.
