The paper covers the debate of legalizing graffiti in United State. The content covers the concept of graffiti from the painter's point of view, as well as the legal aspect of the impact it has on the society.
Graffiti-The Phenomenon
Graffiti is always accompanied by aggressive status, overreaching, destructive, and combative. This is actually the character that is its essence: The illegality. Well may we call it vandalism, but we must not look beyond where it is. Not a big problem and no excuse for exorbitant amounts of money used in its eradication (Jennings, 2008). Pretending to accept the graffiti without the essence of illegality does not understand the root causes of production. We are therefore faced with a phenomenon of simultaneous creation and destruction. As Jennings (2008) says "There was always art in a criminal act".
On the other hand we have the inevitable artistic nature of this phenomenon, artistically speaking, the fact of the skill, technique or style of a writer is something that can be treated from a purely pictorial point of view, regardless of ideologies or place where token is performed.
Graffiti-A Crime
The graffiti is a crime and the destruction of property and the environment. The word graffiti in the hearts of young people show different images reflect the underlying components affecting the repressed feelings and lack of self-confidence is an old phenomenon (Shaer, 2007). It also considers youth suicide for their talents and their energies and recognize it the art of stand-alone, and write on the walls used in the villages or lane popular draw young people through private messages to each other may become sometimes a challenge and an attack from a group of young people against another group. There is no doubt that the phenomenon of bad leads to a distortion of the landscape and aesthetic and I think the reasons are many including the vacuum and deep repression and neglect by parents and educators in education wrong practices in dealing with children (Rohter, 2009).
The Painter's Perception
These are some of the many views on various issues over the graffiti. Even within the philosophy of culture are very different positions. They even create a phrase of a popular character with those identified yet many writers, some as old as "Just writing my name" (just write my name), "I just cannot stop!" (I cannot stop!), the mythical "If art like this is a crime, let god forgive me" (If art is a crime that God forgive me). Today, writers are leaving phrases externalize their thoughts, some for example: "Vandals and proud", "No Truce", "you can never stop us," "Revenge continues," "Take painted, you bastard," “Educated at the highest disciplines, "and so on.
Most writers are artists of great integrity who are not in it for money, why many of them refuse to commercial exploitation of their work. The most notorious example perhaps was the Pier, whom his pride indulged him (after registering its name) reject the offer of a millionaire mattress factory ...
