Introduction

Reviewing the proceedings of the case of “Anya v The Secretary State for the home Department” highlighted some of the very controversial facts. These were the particular issues that could be raised by the people who are against the immigration Judge Flannel. The statement which was presented by Judge Flannel was “I find it disbelieving that the appellant, having been beaten for four days was allowed to keep his wallet and passport in prison”. This statement proved to be very conflicting as the appellant was not even allowed her freedom.

Discussion

Anya explained her case b giving her immigration history that she started her journey from Belarus in 2011, 1 January and this ended on the 30th October, 2012 in Hendon. The reason was that she was arrested from her boyfriend's apartment and had to face a detention at the Yariswood.

The history of the appellant is very crucial as she also was detained in the Minsk for being involved in a protest against the president. She was also known to be an active member of the Young Front party, which was known to struggle for giving freedom in the state even in the jail. Because of the active participation all the supporters of this party were beaten and were tortured in the jail. Anya also had to suffer in the hands of her health as she also brutality beaten and was victimized in the jail. Her parents used to bribe the police officers to make her release from the jail. After her release she was given proper treatment to come out of the trauma. Anya was also witnessed to face life threats in the city of Belarus.
