Introduction

Communication is the moral fiber of relationships. This assignment is based on interview analysis that present a video interview between Maria, the client and the social worker (interviewer as a principle authority) to discuss the communication concerns with the personal life of Maria through an hour's counseling session. This interview analysis is not subject to written verbatim which is the basic tool to analyze the communication. It merely use the multidisciplinary approach to discuss the successful learning outcomes from this hour session between the social worker and the client. It also highlights the set of skills for strengths and weaknesses of interviewer during the conduct of interview. A set of consecutive exchanges and communication skills are made the part of tabular structure to analyze each cluster in this portion of the paper.

Part One: THE CONTEXT

A fifteen minute talk between the client (interviewee) and the social worker (interviewer) sets in the setting of classroom. The focal point of this brief session is to analyze the problem and need recognition of the client and frame questions to find out concerns over different subjects of case.

The name of the client is Maria. Maria is female and thirty five years of age. She belongs to the city of Philippines and works as a full-time academic faculty in the school. She had pursued graduate degree from university and living with her boyfriend for a definite period of time. Her boyfriend aged 39 years old, is Nurse by profession. Both, Maria and her boyfriend are well settled and financially stabled to handle daily chores of their lives.

The next section summarizes the findings of details that the social client (interviewer) wanted to gather and analyze before the counseling session. Maria and her boyfriend are having a living relationship for a considerable number of times. Their story looks ordinary but involves breathtaking decisions and sophistical communication styles in their relationship. The couple seemed to be happy and set the plans to get married in the near future. The relationship and mode of their communication is not favorable at this moment of time. Time management is the major constraint that creates hurdle between the two in couple. The problem with Maria lies her lack of self-esteem and low confidence to make open communication with her boyfriend. She feels discomfort to empathetically share her feelings and her concerns with her boyfriend. This might be the foundational concepts to build hypothesis before the real-time setting between the two participants in a fifteen minute session. Maria does not want to lose this weakening fabric of their relationships through discussions or provide worrying signals to her partner. She is possessive about her boyfriend and do not want to lose at this point of life.

On contrary to this side, her boyfriend depicts the sense of ignorance in the relationship. This is the centre of exasperation, irritation, dissonance, and distortion creating a vacuum for the healthy communication.
