Introduction

The study relates to the concern that young people are not involved in constructive things. In particular, it is important to note that young people should spend their spare time effectively so that they become mentally and physically strong that can help them in the future. In the present era, everything is moving fast which requires extra capabilities which help young people to survive in this challenging world. In this view, time is the most precious thing as it does not come back, thus, by utilizing the spare time in constructive things affluent outcomes can be obtained (Connor, 2012).

Young people need to sort their proper schedules which comprises of all the necessary works that must be attempted in their daily schedules. These exercises make them disciplined, and through this they can never exploit their spare time in needless things. In this challenging time when everyone is ready to accept innovative techniques and confronts to get a good position in the world amongst other, this is possible through working on the constructive activities which can help young people to be exceptional as compared to others. For that reason, young people have to utilize their spare time in constructive things, this exercise will make their mind more innovative and productive, moreover, it can help them to sustain in their professional life.

Research Question

Whether the gender of respondents or the presence of children in the household, affects their agreement with the statement that young people have enough constructive things to do in their spear time?

Hypotheses

HO1: There is an association of young male do not have enough constructive things to do in their spare time as compared to female.

HA1: There is no associations of young male do not have enough constructive things to do in their spare time as compared to female.

HO2: There is an association of young male who have enough constructive things to do in their spare time as compared to female.

HA2: There is no association of young male who have enough constructive things to do in their spare time as compared to female.

Dependent Variable

The dependent variable is selected from the British Social Attitudes Survey (2010) i.e. whether respondents agrees with the statement that young people in this area do not have enough constructive things to do in their spare time.

It is observed that 18% young people strongly agree with the statement, 42.2 % young people just agree with the statement. Besides that some respondents disagree with the statement that is young people in the area do not have enough constructive things to do in their spear time. In addition to this, there are very few respondents who disagree with the given statement or do not know because these were not interested with the research indicating the sampling error.
