Introduction

Individuals duel within a society in the form of different groups. The most important can be regarded as a Family. Therefore, the term “Family” can be simply defined as the individuals living together in such a setup where each member has some responsibilities toward other members and he also enjoys some rights over others. A society with well balance and functional families therefore will ultimately mean that the overall society will be balanced and prosperous. Therefore, the study of how individuals work together to make families and how family functioning affects individual family member is very important. There are different types of family structures that include childless family, single parent family, joint family and so forth. However, nuclear family is one of the most observed forms of family. The paper aims to discuss a nuclear family with the help of Eco map technique and various other important theories. Moreover, the paper will also analyze with the help of these theories of the family dynamics, family backgrounds and the roles, responsibilities, personalities and behavior of each family member and how it affects the overall family functioning.

The snap shot explains that every family member except Darnell is fulfilling his role. The credit card problem is undoubtedly causes a financial stress on the family. Moreover, the attitude and behavior of Darnell is stressful for his relationship with the Department of Education.

Several perspectives can be used to explain the family functioning. For instance, feedback loops can be used to highlight the strength the family gain as a unit in every adversity in order to cater it more affectively the next time. The family maintains a constant communication with each other. This helps the family to discuss the possible solutions to the adversity and work together for implementing the solution. The fact that the entire family participates in the discussion sessions ensure that the opinion of each family member is respected and included.
