How Christianity and Islam View the Issue of Reproduction in Health care
Abstract
This study deals with issue of reproduction in health care and how it is viewed in Islam and Christianity. Christianity and Islam, both religions have various similarities and differences in viewing the issues of reproduction on the basis of religious and cultural perspectives. For example, concept of preferring son, attitudes towards the birth of daughter, issues of abortion, number of children, sexual relation between man and woman before marriage and child birth, polygamy and a number of different other issues associated with reproduction. All these issues are very important from the health care perspectives, especially women's health. This is the reason that along with religious perceptions and sacred texts, it is also important from the health care perspectives associated with the women's health. It is also an important concern that most of the women's death occurs during child birth and therefore, it is a very vast area that can be discussed from the women's health care issues based on the rules and restrictions provided by the Bible and Qur'an. These sacred texts identify codes and laws for governing the lives of individuals and their interaction in the society. This study provides different issues associated with reproduction and health care measures in Islam and Christianity.

Introduction
Health care and human welfare is one of the main concerns for every religion, community or society. Some major issues, which result in major controversy in difference of opinions in various cultures, communities and religions is on the basis of different perceptions and beliefs according to that particular religion(Palmer & Burgess, 2012). These differences in the cultural and religious beliefs mainly occur on the basis of issues related with the reproduction. Islam and Christianity are the two major religion of the world. As compare to Christianity, Islam is a new religion, but due to increase in its followers it has become of the main religions of the world. Both these religions share a number of similarities in their views and perceptions about various aspects of life (Palmer & Burgess, 2012). Apart from religions concepts there are also various cultural and social perspectives in Christian and Muslim societies, which are either shared by both religions or there might be differences. These social and cultural beliefs are also affected by the social, economic and cultural influence as well as due to the effects of surroundings. This is the reason that there are also some deviations occur in the practices of both these religions, but there are firm and strong beliefs, religious information and sacred texts in both religions, which assist in defining the issues associated with reproduction in both these religions and how Christianity and Islam view these issues.
