Introduction

Homelessness is not only about losing a physical entity, but it is about losing emotional and associated factors. It is a major concern for the United States of America since the emergence of financial and economic crisis. The issue of homelessness is growing rapidly in the country which needs to be catered effectively by the coordination and collaboration of a variety of government agencies and social service providers. A huge majority of the people suffering with homelessness in United States of America includes the youth or the next generation of the country. This segment is suffering with social exclusion which is creating a negative impact on the upcoming generation. Factors like criminalization, victimization, involvement in unethical practices and many others are emerging due to homelessness. The government needs to work on a variety of programs and effectively implement the established acts and policies to achieve the desired tasks. Failing in this domain would make the country to further suffer with huge economic disaster.

The next generation of Americans will have higher expectations for the response on homelessness. They are the asset of the country from the future perspective, and if not catered effectively will result in a huge loss. The next generations of Americans have a different point of view and response towards this factor. They will take more active initiatives to bring themselves out of this problem else it will lead to further disaster.

Homelessness is more than rooflesness. A home is not limited to a physical space but is rather a legal and social identity. It is a place with a lot of emotional factors involved with a sense of belongingness. Homelessness means to lose all these dimensions with an experience of destruction and isolation. In the current scenario, homeless people are considered to be among socially excluded ones from the society.

In the United States of America it has been a major area of concern. The government of the United States of America has been indicating the amount of people being homeless over the past few decades. The government, social service providers, corporate, and policy professionals are working on a variety of United States federal programs to recover from these major issues, and help the homeless citizens of the nation. The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development also known as US HUD is working along with some other government organizations with homeless people. Since the financial crisis of 2008, there has been a vast increase in the statistic of homeless people. It created a lack of reasonably priced housing, health care, and gave rise to drugs, alcoholism, poverty and dysfunctional families. It is difficult to establish estimates about the amount of homeless people. The national statistics are indicating an increase in these statistics in the coming year if the conditions remain the same.
