The following paper is an attempt to elucidate the Hebrew concept of wisdom, diligence and laziness, and new educational perspectives.

Discussion

The concept of wisdom presented by Hebrew differs from very modern and popular idea of wisdom. Chochmah (wisdom) in the Bible is a specific type of skill, which involves everything from technical skills such as metallurgy (working with gold and bronze), sewing, going to management, administrative capacity and being presented in front of the King. Chochmah have multidisciplinary aspects, since when it involves technical knowledge, through ethical behavior, the natural knowledge and reaching the rabbinic association of "wisdom" to the Torah. But where did the modern concept of "wisdom" linked to encyclopedic knowledge, the cognitive performance and some kind of purely theoretical knowledge? The Hebrew wisdom, is not rationalistic, naturalistic or materialistic, it's integrative. Wisdom is with the seamstress, the blacksmith, the king, the warrior, the owner of Casa-and is the active principle of creation, the architect of the world.

“Wisdom" is different from "knowledge". The wisdom is in the innermost character of the person, while science is knowledge, i.e. intellectual culture, which can only be an accumulation of information that a person has, without applying them in practical life to get a better character. Wisdom described by Hebrew in Proverbs covers all phases of practical life, not separate spirituality of the ordinary duties of life, so that those who have true wisdom reflect the requirements of God in every thought and every action.
