Introduction

Many years ago news about a person's health and illness was only declared by hospitals, doctors, nurses and medical institutions but know people believe that have been able to identify several health and illness in the society. Decisions about a person's health and Illness were not declared without a check or through proper testing but now people are able to draw conclusions about a person's health or illness by observing the symptoms of a person's health and illness. The report will take into consideration several ideas and researches of philosophers who have worked on finding out the health and illness in humanities and social sciences. A collaborative view of philosophers and sociologist will help in finding out the view of people that has changed over the years regarding health and illness among the people living in a society.

The growing health issues have increased the attention of the media especially television, radio, magazines, newspapers and the internet are playing very important role in giving time and space to different kinds of health issues increasing in the world, increasing the knowledge of the people and informing the world about the new researches and identification of health and illness issues in the world. Thus now the health and illness are not only the property of the doctors or the hospitals but the amount of information and knowledge has made everyone feel like an expert on different health issues. People who interpret health and illness problems according to their perceptions are sometimes neglecting the main causes of the diseases which may delay their treatment and people often have to lose their lives. According to Nettleton, (2006) many sociologist view that it is not reasonable for the people to sought out alternative of medicines without any prescription from the doctors, interpret the health problem symptoms wrongly and suggesting own ways for healing up any disease. All these unnecessary measures are a big risk for one's life because any loop whole in a disease will may cause the death of the person.

According to Clouser (et al., 1981) in their study has defined disease and illness as a major problem according to the philosophy of many people, group, cultures or societies define health issues subjectively and are not serious about its implications on the human health. The philosophers in their study further mentioned that there are no guidelines for the people to decide whether a symptom is a sign of addiction from tobacco or is there any heart problem. All over the world their certain criteria's for the diseases found normally among the human body but diseases other than that needs the recommendation of the doctors or other relevant hospital staff to properly trigger the problem.
