There should be a middle way through which we can enhance our ability to halt the process of guns getting into criminals` hands without negating the liberty of the citizens, who are law-abiding, to have the ownership of firearms. In this report, a solution or compromise on which gun enthusiasts, lawmakers and anti-gun community agree upon is determined.

Introduction
Gun control is any practice, law or policy that is drafted to restrict the production, possession and sale of guns or firearms. The policies regarding gun control differ vastly across the various countries in the world. Some countries have very strict laws as compared to the other ones which have reserved laws on this subject. In several countries, the subject of gun control remains to be a source of severe discussion. The proponents argue regarding the harmful effects of the ownership of guns whereas the opponents argue that they have rights for their safety to have possession of such a weapon.
Opposing View
The opponents of gun control view it as an expected and consistent part of the national fabric in the US. History also seems to support the opponents of gun control. The opponents admit that, even in ancient times, ownership of guns was regulated. In traditional times, the possession of guns was considered a collective obligation significant to the defense of the community, not as the right of an individual (Groberman, 2013).
