Introduction

The rapid changes, improvement, and progression have led modern organizations to find new ways to work. Group work is among these innovative ways. Groups (teams) have always been central part of an organization. They are gaining increasing attention as potentially important assets. It is important to note that modern organization in order to get success should develop cohesive and strong work groups. Several organizations have become global and yet many organization s are becoming global than ever which means they are relying on distributed teams to carry out various tasks (Nedelko, Z, 2007). Working in groups has increasingly been important because it greatly helps in accomplishing tasks and solving problem (Carte, 2006). If we look in to bit detail we can see that working in groups allow members to share responsibility. Group's members easily delegate tasks to individuals who possess abilities, knowledge, and skills necessary to do the required task successfully. When members work in groups, work is done with lot more creatively since there are of wide range of ideas coming from different group members.

Organizations motivating group work always have the opportunity to have diverse options. Working in groups provides several benefits to the organization only if these are free of conflicts, communication gaps, excessive intergroup conflicts, and with no lacking in cohesiveness with diverse group members. When we work in groups, there are communication gaps and intergroup and intergroup conflicts that need to be solved because each of them affects the productivity of the group.
