Introduction

Aircraft is referred as piece of equipment that is capable to fly by achieving support from air. Generally it opposes the gravitational force by utilizing the dynamic lift or by utilizing static lift of an air foil. In some situations, it opposes the gravitational force by utilizing downward thrust from jet engines. The department that surrounds the aircrafts operations are referred as department of aviation. Aircrafts are classified in to various types depending on their usage, propulsion, lift type and others. Jet craft is considered as one of the biggest innovations in the field of aviation. A jet air craft is referred as an aircraft which has a tendency to fly with higher speeds, on higher altitudes. Most of the jet aircrafts are able to fly faster than the speed of sound. The jet aircrafts are operated by the help of jet engines and first jet engine was invented by Sir Frank Whittle (Moir & Seabridge, 2004). Sir Frank Whittle was an engineer officer in British Royal Air Force. He developed the idea of the modern jet engine in the year 1928. The jet engine of Sir Frank Whittle helped the department of aviation to transform the travelling ways. The model of Sir Frank Whittle helped the researchers to bring more innovations in the designs of aircraft (Moir & Seabridge, 2004).

A famous museum of London was visited, in order to know about the latest and most efficient aircrafts. During the visit, several aircrafts were found, which may revolutionized air travel. Those aircrafts and their specialties are discussed in the proceeding paper.

Discussion

The jet engine model of Sir Frank Whittle helps the aviation department in bringing innovations in the designs of aircrafts. With the passage of time, an aircraft technology has greatly changed the ways of travelling. Several number of latest and modern aircrafts planes has bring ease and feasibility for the people, to travel along the long distances in short period of time. In order to understand those innovations and specialties of latest aircrafts, a survey was conducted to the well known museum of London. During the survey various aircrafts, their structures, usage and their specialties were observed in order to present the most appropriate aircrafts. Those aircrafts are considered as the biggest revolution in the ways of air travelling.

Several effective and modernize aircrafts were found during the visit of the museum. Those aircraft models include Boeing B-52 Stratofortress, Rockwell B-1 Lancer, Supermarine Spitfire and Boeing Phantom Ray (Moir & Seabridge, 2004).Some of the specifications and specialities of these planes are briefly discussed below:

Boeing B-52 Stratofortress

The Boeing B-52 Stratofortress is one of subsonic, long range and jet powered strategic bomber. This plane was manufactured and designed by Boeing.
