Introduction

Communication is an integral part of life which can either be expressed in words directly or simply through the actions indirectly. It is considered as the essence to any relationship hence, the effective communication is essential component for the success of personal as well as corporate lives. However, maintaining the successful communication throughout the organization is one of the most important aspects of an organization. This is because, the organization can never achieve its objectives without the proper communication. The effective communication creates the sense of transparency within the organization that builds the trust amongst the members of the organization. Hence, it promotes the atmosphere of open communication and prevents the employees from feeling isolated. However, the confusion and ambiguity due to the unclear communication causes to promote the negative feelings and create the tense atmosphere (Smith, 2013).

The paper intends to propose a new communication structure for an organization that will lead the organization towards the success. The study will highlight the five key concepts that may contribute in the successful communication within an organizational setting. These concepts include the active listening, conflict resolution, leadership strategies, formal and informal communication, importance of organizational culture, and principles of human communication. The successful implementation of these concepts holds the critical position for the effective communication within the organization.

Discussion

The communication is the process of exchanging facts, ideas, and opinions to maintain the effective relationship with one another. The communication is the lifeblood of any organization without which the organization suffers numbers of consequences in terms of unmet goals (New Age Publishers, 2000). The organization operates in the productive manner when there is the proper flow of communication (Schiffer, 2001). Hence, it is said to be the life wire of the organization which is inevitable wherein the departments communicate time to time due to complete their daily activities and help organization to interact with the external world.

The success of business depends upon the efficient and effective communication whereas no business can promote in the absence of the effective and successful maintenance of communication within the organizational system. It serves as the mortar which keeps the entire organization in tact regardless of the size of the organization. It flourishes the relation amongst the members of the organization where they are ready to work within teams and share the useful information throughout the network (Rosenbaum, 2005). The key concepts that contribute in the effective communication within the organization are mentioned as following:

Active Listening

The foremost important concept to successful communication is active listening. This is because, listening is the key to every relationship whether it is the personal or the corporate world.
