What did you like the most about this class?

The class informative as it clarified all the concepts which I had facing. I have read the book previous to these classes, but it was difficult to understand different theories described through out. However, I gained plenty of knowledge while taking the classes. As sociology being my basic course, these classes will help me in my future classes and career. It developed my better understanding of sociological impacts and forced me to imagine the world with a social meaning. These classes were focused over globalization, careers in sociology, ethnicity and race, and covered social policies and mass media strongly. These classes gave me new vision by providing the knowledge about how should one imagine and treat individuals at work, at neighborhoods, at school and most importantly in the global community. One more thing which was quite appreciable was the distribution of the courses. The entire course was focused on examining the social behaviors of the groups in society. I had issues in topics such as development of laws, transformation of society's culture, affects of a size of a group on the other members. The presentations and videos helped me greatly to understand these topics. The last part of the textbook and the class itself was informative. I succeeded in understanding the role of a social institution. It provided different frameworks of the societies that are at present and were in the past. The class was clear when they discussed their constraints and impact on our living.

I would like to give few positive remarks on the classes during the course. Professor put great efforts to clarify the textbook and I will like to congratulate him for his success. The introductory session was great; professor described the class outline and the guideless clearly. There were few things missing which I will discuss later but overall the classes went great. I like the teacher's effort when he described different theories and frameworks in the introductory class. Its quite difficult for the students to cope up with these in initial stages, but the teacher was clear when he described the principals and research`s in sociology. Few theoretical questions and information about the research design and methodology were unclear to me; however, the document file of each session helped me greatly to revise and clarified.
