Family Relationships in Jane Austen's Persuasion

Introduction

Persuasion is the novel by Jane Austen. The one she wrote when she was sick, the more nostalgic she became, especially the most beautiful in my eyes. The novelist died before she had time to correct this book (especially the ridiculous ease of certain characters, the violence of his critics say specialists), or to choose a title.

Nevertheless, we find everything that makes the pleasure of reading Jane Austen in this novel. From the first pages, we have a full of irony, but also very violent nobility inflated vanity, which has more than its title, with the character of Sir Walter Elliot. The baronet, a widower with three daughters, has accumulated debts, and must leave his castle for Bath to avoid ruin. This man pretty arrogant to the extreme and is presented as a selfless father over the fate of her two youngest daughters, especially the second, Anne.

Persuasion has been relegated to second place in the narrative of Jane Austen. The funny thing is that this novel is tightly linked to its greatest success: Northanger Abbey. Both were developed at the same stage, and even circulated some versions of the Abbey and Persuasion in a single volume (Jane, Pp: 10-150). Also the title of the novel is questionable, as was apparently the brainchild of Jane Austen's brother, whose downside death happened before graduating. Some critics claim that the first option for the novel was The Elliot's. I think the plot of the novel somehow broke the intentions of Jane Austen. Obviously, the author's prerogative was to generate awe and tension through the narrative thread. However, the love story gets all the attention of the reader. Even that much lauded ironic style in Jane Austen is overshadowed by some difficult moments of irony (MacDonagh, Pp: 167).

Many variants are combined in Persuasion, making it impossible to determine the precise intentions of Jane Austen. Remember who wrote the novel in haste, during a brief recess of the disease would end up winning. This composition resulted in a rapid short novel, Austen's standards, and with less consistency than their predecessors (Gillian, Pp: 15). Anyway, Persuasion is an original novel in many ways, including the fact that his revolutionary female protagonist is a young woman.

It comprises 27 chapters with gentle ways of understanding the specific personalities and situations, where history is chained through the characters. Jane Austen is making combinations with intelligent touches, loving, tension, resolution, but little plot of development.
