Introduction

This paper is about a Human Service Management organization, its Mission and Values. In this paper we have discussed about the impact of mission and value statement on organization, its people and its effect on the society on mass level. Mission and value statements play a leading role for the organization and clarify the path of projection and progress of the organization in future. It is equally important for every organization irrespective of its nature and size.

About the organization

Human service organization refers to any organization which deals with the problems or solutions of human being. It can be a health, education, social service or any other organization which provides the services related to human and their needs (Austin, 2002). It can also involve the organizations supporting these types of organizations. The human service organizations are also involved in policy making and ensuring advocacy. We will discuss about the organization named as Old- age People Welfare Organization which is also known as OPWO. OPWO deals with the welfare of Old age people who are living in old houses away from their family (Wilson, 2000).

This organization provides boarding and lodging facilities to the old age citizens. Their services also include providing entertainment facilities along with excursion trips to the people who do not have any relative to take care or who do not want to live with their relatives due to their unfair treatment. This is a non-profit organization running on the funds provided by the people who want to serve humanity. The donor of OPWO also includes people who have their relatives living here or being facilitated here (Burau, Theobald & Blank, 2012).

It is a great responsibility for the management of OPWO to facilitate mentally and physically the people who are associated with them (Austin, 2002). There are various recreational facilities available at OPWO which includes indoor games, swimming; TV lounge where they can enjoys latest movies and television serials. OPWP also have on board 24/7 clinic where specialist doctors are available for any kind of medical support (Austin, 2002). For spiritual education OPWO has sermons delivered on weekly basis by scholars of different religions. In addition to this OPWO also have weekly classes for mental relaxation of people living at OPWO facility.
