Given the topic that will be under the discussion for this assignment, a naive mind can, without any hesitation conform to the widespread belief that every aspect or phenomenon, where endures the benefits for the mankind, also endorses a downside; where it is advantageous, it also possesses some disadvantages. Somewhat similar is the case with the modern business arena and the even increasing advancement in the industrial sector.

The Ethical Implications of Businesses Polluting In a Third World Country

It is ironic how the shapes of conducting businesses drastically change as soon as they are taken outside their own geographical premises to other countries, especially the third world countries. Given the notion of the ethical approaches in the third world country of the developed businesses, a naive mind is automatically drawn towards the ethical issues, such as the issues of bribe, disregard of the laws, and low wages, but there are other graver issues, as well, such as the businesses polluting the air of the third world country.

The key implications that pertain to businesses polluting in a third world country lie at various domains, amongst which is the proper management of the toxic wastes that come out from the industries and pollute the drinking and common use water, as well as the sea water of the third world country. Moreover, it is also the adequate and reasonable consumption of the relevant energies by the big factories, the management of the ever increasing water and air pollution, and most importantly, the incessant and high paced deforestation of the third world countries (Collins, 2011).

Reasons for A Business To Conduct Operations In A Third World Country And Disregard Any Standards Of Pollution Control

There are numerous reasons for the initiation of business in the third world countries and the conditions that pave way for the open disregard of the standards of the pollution control. The prime reason for choosing the third world country for the backhand operations of businesses are the low wages, low establishment costs and low operations cost. Such incentives are lucrative for any business giant to see the third world country as a golden bird. However, with the operations increasing in the third world countries; there are numerous disregards that are being taken places, and amongst those disregards is that of the standards of pollution control.

At this point, it is imperative to note that such disregard takes place for some reasons, such as the low government restrictions or law standards for the pollution control in those countries. Moreover, the third world countries (specially their governments) are notorious for being easily bribed, so even if the pollution control related laws are being violated, these businesses giants bribe the governments to evade the closure or official warning. Mostly, the governments are indebted by the rendering of the platform of the increased employment via these businesses; hence their processes that pollute the environment are deliberately overlooked.
