The ethical system focuses son the theories of ethics and its applicability in the life. The theories that are highlighted in the ethical system includes Virtue ethics as it deals with the person actions, utilitarianism as it deals with the morally right act leads towards happiness, social contract as it deals with the social interaction that is responsible for the morally right act, deontology focused on the duty based ethics, relativism deals with the social norms and obligations that prevails in the society and deontology with a categorical imperative concept identified by Kant believes in a categorical imperative and it is absolute. The most prevalent ethical system in the United States and in the world is of Deontology. The Ethical system that closely matches my personal ethical system is of Utilitarianism as the happiness lies in the morally right act. The Utilitarianism approach provides guidance in leading a happy and contented life.

There are certain ethical theories that are highlighted as the discussion proceeds they are Virtue ethics, utilitarianism, social contract, deontology, relativism and deontology with a categorical imperative concept identified by Kant.
The ethical theories based on the morally right act that is first identified by the philosophers. There are certain theories of virtue ethics that need to be accessed as the discussion proceeds. The theory of virtue ethics deals with the actions of the person carrying out in conducting a morally right act. This theory deals with the characteristics of good person that seeks towards achievement (Virtue Ethics, 2013). The theory of ethics not only focuses on the right and wrong of the person but it focuses on the characteristics of a good person.
The Ethical Theory of Utilitarianism focuses on the happiness principle. The theory of Utilitarianism focuses on the morally right act leads towards happiness and immoral acts reverse the impact of happiness in the person life (Utilitarianism, 2013). John Stuart Mill has introduced the concept of Utilitarianism in philosophy. Utilitarianism focuses on the social reformer that believes happiness counts in a person life and pleasure in the life is identified by the morally right act that is performed by the individual provides life satisfaction
The philosopher Hobbes identified the updated ideas of the ancient time philosophers such as Rousseau and Kant (Contemporary Approaches to the Social Contract, 2011). The theory of social contract focuses on the contractual acts, the parties identifying the act, the agreement between the two parties, reasoning of the person fulfills the aims and objective of the agreement and morality is pertained in the individual as to perform the morally right act as to perform the social duty.
