Introduction

The significance of diversity, rights and equality in Health and Social Care is that people must encompass equal opportunities regardless of their culture, race and religion. Our society contains many different groups who belong to different and diverse culture religion and race (NHS, 2005, p.1). Thus, the goal of providing equal health and social care services to every individual must be the goal of health care providers. Hence, for providing effective health and social care services, health care providers must consider diversity, rights and equality of every individual in the delivery of health care (NHS, 2005, p.1).

Health care service providers must consider health equality and diversity because service users and patients have ethical and moral right to be notified about the planned use of information and they must be provided with choice of withholding or providing their consent.

Discussion

Local authorities that hold and are responsible for health and social services must deal with complaints and needs properly (Anonymous, 2009, p.4). The information in the local procedures and policies will give details related to the way of handling the complaints.

Providers of Health and social services must take a more adaptable approach towards managing and controlling complaints of individuals, which focuses on the wishes and needs of such people who are concerned.

Providers of Health and social services must simplify things in order that it is much simpler for organisations to respond and for people to share their experiences (Anonymous, 2009, p.4).

Promoting Equality and Diversity in Health And Social Care

Equality of positive outcomes and opportunity for service staff and users are being promoted by respecting valuing their culture and background. Human rights of every individual who is receiving services of health and social care are being safeguarded and promoted in order to promote diversity and equality in health and social care. The intrinsic value and uniqueness of every user of health and social care is accredited and every person is provided with respect and dignity (NMC, 2011, Pp.1-2). These strategies will be applicable to staff, service users, carers and all other people who are contributing in the provision of health and social care. In order to provide successful and promoting health and social care to the patients and clients, there are some ethical and moral responsibilities that are needed to be followed by the service provider (NMC, 2011, Pp.1-2).
