Human resources, material resources and non-material resources are the major resources which are used in any engineering field in order to accomplish engineering projects. These resources create great influence on the environment and society. There are numerous impacts of these engineering resources on our environment and society. Besides positive impacts, there are certain negative impacts of engineering on our society. Experts and scientists are making every possible effort in order to mitigate the impact of these environmental and social issues on our society which are taking place due to engineering inventions. This paper will highlight the impact of engineering inventions on society and environment. The paper will also discuss about the adverse human health, human safety, environmental and social impacts of engineering on our society (Liamlaem, 2013).

In this age of work-force and market globalization, engineers are required to adopt proper understanding of the influence of resources that are being used in engineering project. Moreover, engineers must provide effective solutions through their engineering by keeping in consideration the impacts resources on society and environment.

Engineering inventions and solutions have always has a key influence on environment and society. These impacts have been positive in some cases such as in case of water purification and house appliances. However, there have been certain negative impacts of engineering solutions on society in some cases such as bombs.
