In this article, ECOSOC and AWID provide their own definitions on gender perspective approach. ECOSOC explains that there is a need of assessment on social readjustment that is taking place in the society i.e. differences in gender equalities between men and women. This however has been explained and named as a tailoring approach. On the contrary, AWID gives its own definition on gender approaches which is not necessarily a tailoring approach but rather a transformative approach.
