It has been observed that different kinds of restaurant require different management styles and possesses some similarities and difference to one and another (Johnson, n.d). There exist some preliminary differences and similarities between the two service styles and the management styles of the different types of restaurants.

Fine Dining Restaurant

When it comes to service and quality, fine dining restaurants tops the ladder. Fine restaurants provide an ambiance of elegance and grace. In most fine diners making reservations before hand is a must to-do. Fine diner hires chefs who had been to a culinary school and have experience in this profession prior to joining them. Some of the fine diners offer five-course meals with a price range of minimum $20.

Casual Dining Restaurant

Casual dining is similar to fast casual restaurant with the addition of table service dining environment. The casual restaurants present a family-friendly environment. Most of the casual restaurants provide a wide range of cuisines as a pastas, chicken dishes and seafood dishes while few provides vastly specialized menus. A casual diner provides a full table service with price ranging from $10 to $15 (Johnson n.d).
