Kate Chopin (also known as Catherine O' Fleerti) was born on 08 February, 1851 and died on 22 August 1904. She was Native American and her work focuses mainly short stories and novels, mostly written in a Louisiana Creole background. Now it is believed by some that Kate is a precursor of feminism. She wrote stories for children and adults that have been published in magazines including Atlantic Monthly, Vogue, Harper Century and youth partner.
