When online retailing started somewhere in the mid 1990s it gave rise to the ongoing debate of online vs. traditional shopping. A number of individuals are now turning to online shopping as a great alternative rather than going to a local store or mall in their locality. Online shopping continues to rise as individuals have realized the number of benefits it gives over traditional shopping. With numerous stores to select from, shoppers are no longer restricted to the choice available in their neighborhood (Rigby, 2011).

Online shopping has many benefits, as you can shop from the comfort of your home, you don't need to carry more money and there is a wide range of products available for your selection. If you are a seller, then the online shopping sites offer you the benefit of accessing remote users and receive their orders too. However, the question remains will online shopping conquer all, or traditional shopping will survive this rising onslaught of online shopping?
