Abstract

A comparative propensity of temperament in numerous aspects while analyzing the culture, known as Cross Culture or its studies. Moreover, in order to find out how people and natives of different cultures interact and communicate with each other, there is a study known as Cross Cultural Study. Whereas there are numerous forms of activities along with interactivities among the participants or members of the unequal groups which are cultural in nature also refers to cross cultural communication or relations of intercultural, hybridism, transculturation, and cosmopolitanism. Moreover, the notion cross culture emerged in the year 1930s in the field of Social Sciences by the Social Scientist. However, in this regard a huge number of researches and surveys were carried out mostly by the Scientist named George Peter Murdock, as he was a Yale Anthropologist. In the early years when this term was raised, based on the statistical data of compilations of cultural statistics, the same notion of cross cultural gradually acquired a sense which was secondary in nature as cultural interaction or interactivity. As far as the Hispanic culture is concerned, this culture and its people are commonly known as Latin Americans. Latin American culture includes formal and informal expression of the people of Latin America, and includes both refined cultural expressions such as literature and art as the elements of popular culture such as music, dance and folk art, as well as religious elements and customs. What is more, as far as Filipino culture is concerned, the culture of the Philippines is considered as the only culture Hispanic of Asia. The following paper elucidates the comparison between the two cultures.

Introduction

This fact can not be ignored that culture is the basic aspect of human development along with their identity and personality development. People are actually perceived as a reflection of their culture. So, in the same regard cross cultures are one of the chief sources of people development and development of their identity, moral behaviors and over all personalities. The following paper is a comparison between two cultural backgrounds i.e. Hispanic culture and Filipinos.

Hispanic Culture

There are various definition of constitutes and the definitions of what constitutes Latin America are varied. From a standpoint of culture, Latin America generally includes those parts of the American continent where Spanish influences prevail, French or Portuguese or Mexico, most of Central America and South America (Noble & LaCasa, 1991). There is also an important American cultural presence in the United States (in California and the Southwest, and in cities such as New York and Miami).

Moreover, the richness of Latin American culture is the artifact of much pressure, counting. Pre-Columbian cultures, whose importance is now particularly important in countries such as Mexico, Guatemala, and other European colonial culture, because of the history of colonization of the region by Spain, Portugal, and France.
