Introduction

In this paper, i have analysed the three articles in detail in terms of their content, methodologies, referencing style and conclusion. These articles are generally based on HRM and organizational performance. There has been an extensive collection of data investigating the link between HRM and organizational performance. Lately, there have been over a hundred studies regarding HRM in an organization. Most are North American however a developing number are accounted for the territory of Europe and the UK. These surveys reason that there is a significant affiliation between HRM and organizational effectiveness. In the meantime, there is an important debate about which characteristics of HRM has the biggest influence on organizational performance. The vast majority of the studies stress on a notable set of practices which are regarded as a key to organizational performance.

Introduction

The article “Does CEO charisma matters.An emperical analysis of the relationships among organisational performance,enviromental uncertainty,and top mgt team perceptions of CEO charisma” written by J,A.Srinivasan discusses about the importance of CEO charisma to an organization and how CEO charisma is linked to the overall performance of the organization. I have discussed the theories and hypothesis related to the topic and the methodologies used to test the the claim regarding the CEO charisma. The article demonstrates the significance of strategic heads and specially, the CEO, in the progress of an organization. In the meantime, in an extensive range of studies, management researchers have confirmed that enigmatic leaders are more efficient than the less enigmatic managers. Although, the majority of this study has been carried out at lower levels of hierarchy, theories regarding charismatic management demonstrate that the identical trend might be going on at the higher levels of management as well. Nevertheless, quite a few authors have posted that due to the regular connection linking charisma as well as narcissism, such management style has quite a few disadvantages.

Latest experiential studies have resulted in varied practical evidence about the association involving CEO enigmatic management as well as organizational performance. The article adds to this flow of study by coming up with additional experimental proof concerning these questions by using a relatively larger database, a special tool for measurement of CEO charisma, along with a diverse, purposeful measure of environmental ambiguity, namely instability of stock takings, and a selection of accounting as well as stock market procedures, instead of only one accounting policy.

Theory and hypothesis

The article is based on the theory that CEO charisma is vital in an organization. The article looks at the two aspects of CEO charisma. Some theorists have suggested that the perceptions CEO charisma results in high organizational performance while on the other hand, some theorists have suggested that the organizational performance leads to high level perceptions of CEO charisma. Moreover, the author explains that the vision, influence and the ability of a charismatic leader helps the organization to survive in different environments and overcome motivational and cognitive barriers to lead the organization to succees.
