Introduction

Amanda Berry is one of the girls kidnapped. Amanda Berry disappeared at age 16 on April 21, 2003. The Amanda Berry worked at Burger King and did well in school. Gina DeJesus Is another one of the girls kidnapped. DeJesus went missing in April 2004. She was age 14 when she was snatched off a Cleveland street.

Michelle Knight is the third girl kidnapped. Ariel Castro had offered her a ride home. He really was not taking her home but to a basement in his own house.

Jocelyn is the 6 year old little girl born to Amanda Berry in captivity. Her mother Amanda home schooled her while they were in captivity. The little girl is reported to be happy and healthy, (Vultaggio, 2013).

Charles Ramsey is the neighbor who helped Berry and Jocelyn escape. He called the police and help pry open the door to his neighbor's house. He is now titled a Cleveland hero.

Ariel Castro is a 52-year-old school bus driver. He has been charged with three counts of rape and four counts of kidnapping. One for each of the three women and one for Berry's 6-year-old daughter fathered by Castro. Ariel Castro was a local bus driver in the Cleveland area and was a quiet and mysterious figure in the neighborhood. No one really knew him well.

Pedro Castro is one of Ariel Castro's brothers. He is 54 years old. He was also arrested and facing several charges. He is facing the death penalty.
