Controlling crime rates in our communities

Introduction

Crime refers to violation of a society's, federal government or state jurisdiction's criminal laws, for which there is no legally acceptable excuse or justification (Akpom & Tammy, 2002). From the beginning of civilization, people have been indulging in criminal activities throughout the world. However, the law enforcing agencies work untiringly day and night to bring an end to the activists working to bring harm to society. Many reasons including budget cutbacks, lack of resources and management decisions are behind such increasing crime rates. In order to better understand the increasing crime rates, the reasons behind it and the possible solutions; an in depth discussion and evaluation regarding the relevant factors is required.

Problem Statement

The crime rates are increasing day by day at an alarming rate in our societies as there are less police officials in the communities due to budget problems.

Hypothesis

There is an impact of state criminal laws, budget problems on less police officials and number of security camera installations on the increasing crime rates within the society.

The news providing organizations are always ready to provide in depth critique of the police performance. Frieden (2012) highlights that the rate of criminal activities within the United States has increase by a big 22 percent after almost two ...
