Conflict between the children and their parents is one of the vital issues which lead to the downfall of both Romeo and Juliet. Juliet has to face a strong pressure from her father to marry Paris and the tension of generation gap as Juliet's father always wanted younger generation to follow his instructions are the major causes of the conflict. If Juliet's parents would have tried to understand what their daughter actually wanted, the end would not have turned out into such a drastic one.
