Introduction

Computer is connected through the modern world by means of internet. It is used in offices, homes, educational institutes and in places where multiprocessing is required. In homes, it is necessary for the users to install such software which are capable to enhance the security of home systems (Palanivel et.al, 2013). It includes virus, malware and some dangerous viruses which can harm the security of computer. In homes, most of the people used it to communicate with friends and family all over the world. Users use to insert and save passwords of such websites which contains private information.

Mostly, websites have private and confidential information which is inserted by the user. This information can be leaked out by website and from personal computer in homes. It can be stopped by using such measures which enhance the security of computer system. Nowadays social networking sites are a part of every individual's life in the world (Lámer et.al, 2012). People share their personal photos, information on these sites. It also works as a cloud and data can be extracted all over the world if you have an ID and password of the account. Personal and private information can also be extracted from social networking sites.

Scenario 1

It is necessary for a computer user to take necessary measures in order to save its personal information on personal computer in home. Mostly, people use internet connection available near locality and use some websites which contains their information like personal data (family information), information regarding occupation, bank account information (ID password of bank account). It is important for a new computer user to get all information regarding software installation and internet connection because network service provider may utilize personal information of the user by installing some software which connects the computer on the network It is important to security measures to protect data and information from hackers and malicious viruses.

Antivirus Installation

The selection of appropriate antivirus is necessary for enhancing the security of the system. Mostly, antivirus also provides the facility of antispyware. Spyware is software that transfer user's personal or organization's information to other person without the permission of user (Piplode et.al, 2013). Antispyware technology protects your computer from this action. It is used to scan each email that comes to your email account because mostly spam emails are used to extract the information.

It also protects the computer from harmful viruses that comes incorporate with download files. Hence, it is necessary to install anti spyware software with antivirus software. I am using AVG antivirus software in order to protect my PC from malicious virus and malwares. It comes in package of antispyware software to provide complete security to its users (Basha et.al, 2013). This antivirus software is capable of handling different malicious viruses. Virus also affects the performance of computer system because most of the viruses capture the free place in hard drive which affects the performance of processor.
