Introduction

Couple of years ago companies only thought that ethical issues in business are terms to define administrative rules that has to be followed. However, in this era every business organization has realized its significance. A thriving company must possess the quality to gain confidence over its customers.

Since ethics are moral and legal issues faced by every organization, thus decision making process is affected by these issues. Every organization has their own perception about the right and wrong. So identifying right ethics in business is very difficult. Ethics are usually created by surrounding, values, culture and relationships.

Discussion

Both the cases that are provided for analysis considers ethical observation and focuses to highlight the significance of ethics in the business life. In the first case, ethical problem was raised as the license of business of Plasma International was withdrawn while, the other case present the issues of maximization of profitability. Let's have glance over these two cases on the light of some theories.

Every business focuses over truth because it is key to maintain long term relationship with customers. Moreover, to show clear picture of business and its operations to customers. Kant for this purpose has provided a mechanism referred as Categorical Imperative. Kant has focus over to show the significance of fairness, reduction of biasness etc to build an ethical system which will help out the business to progress. On the basis of Kant's theory one can say that, Plasma International was working over the fact of truthfulness as they were maintaining the quality of medical products. Moreover, their view is to provide satisfaction to their customers. Kant has focused over the fact that, lying can ruin the relationship as it shows the other person that he is not been respected. In the case of Plasma International, we can see that the act of withdrawal of the license is the case which shows no mercy towards plasma International and shows no respect for their company. But, in the light of ethics it is totally wrong. Plasma International has to be promoted as they are focusing to provide quality product or services to the customers. Their process of hiring ensures that they can higher medical expert to maintain the quality of their business.

Kantian ethics considers the only source of moral worth: the good will, i.e. the settled determination to do one's duty. Indeed, the morality or moral worth of an action is for Kant entirely a matter of whether the person performing it has the motive of duty (hence good will), while its legality or rightness is simply a matter of whether the action accords with the moral law.
