The construction and building industry has now been facing a paradigm shift to increase the efficiency, productivity, sustainability, quality and infrastructure value, it also tries to reduce the costs of lifecycle, duplications and lead times, via effectual communication and collaboration of stakeholders in the construction projects. In this scenario Building Information Modelling (BIM) requests to integrate procedures throughout the whole lifecycle. Therefore, implementing BIM successfully requires considerable changes in the means construction companies work at nearly each level in the building development.

Organizational as well as people cantered concerns create the greatest challenges for the implementation of BIM. Studies revealed that implementation of BIM are still a challenge for construction industry. The Canadian industry, conversely, is well behind the United States in its BIM reception rate. Adoption and maturity of BIM depends for the most part on the customer or the possessor in the construction projects. The customers of public sector often believe that the business sector is not prepared for BIM and are hesitant to expand venture requires by restricting rivalry.
