Australia Producing More Waste than Before.

Introduction

Our natural environment is the primary source for having a healthy living environment for every living organism on the planet. After the invention of various technologies that gave birth too many mechanical machines that were utilized in large industries for various purposes and in order to fasten the production process and reduce cost of production. While an increase in the output level of many industries, waste material that was generated by these machines also increased for this there was no proper method to effectively get rid of it in the initial phase. The only option was to either burn the waste material that resulted in emission of many hazardous chemicals and gases while the other method was to bury the waste material i.e. land filling of the waste material. Later industries went for a different solution for taking care of the waste material by establishing such small industries that were able to recycle or reuse the wastage in an efficient manner. These industries couldn't utilize 100% of the waste material for recycling purpose but were able to manage to get at least 50% of the material to be reused for the same purpose or for any other purpose.

This paper will address the same issue specifically in the different parts of Australia. With the passage of time and growing industries in Australia, the same issue of handling of waste material is the most important aspect in the industrial sector that has taken some serious turns and needs to be griped before the matter gets out of our hands completely.

Thesis Statement

The purpose of this paper is to highlight some of the problems that are faced by production of waste. What are the policies devised to cover these problems and what are the causes that are leading to an increase in the production of waste material.

No. 4602.0), many people were asked and observed that what is the reason for throwing their used stuff away instead of taking care of their used products properly or dumping them in an appropriate manner. Australia is among the second largest producers of waste material around the world. Every year, almost around 10 million tons of waste products are produced within Australia in which only half of the waste material is reused while the remaining is mostly land-filled. Among this figure of 10 million, more than 3 million of the waste is only food material that is equal to a quarter of the food supplies of the country. This is the ...
