Art has always intrigued me. Ever since my childhood, drawing objects and human figures have always fascinated me. I have strong imagination and it has helped me to get better perspective of things that are in my surrounding. Objects, shapes and figures attracted me towards them and I would keep imagining different situations in my head. Art has always inspired my family as well and to a certain extent it can be said that Arts is pretty much in my blood. My grandmother is an eminent painter in UAE. She also happened to be the personal painter of the Shaikh. My fascination with art pretty much continued with the rest of my childhood until one day I find that there is another thing that also thrills me and that is architecture. There are only few people who are able to land this dream job and dream career and architect means that much to me. I have dreamt about being an architect and would do everything in my stride to make sure that I have achieved what I want as an individual (Bolleter, 2009).

In my childhood, there used to be a game with the name of “Sims” and I would spend hours playing this game. You have to build houses in that game and one of the striking memories of my childhood would be that I'm building houses for my fictional characters. This was just the beginning for me as far as architecture is concerned. As far would have it, my father was an owner of a property in Dubai and my father wanted to me to personally design the house for me and my family. This was the time when I started interacting with different architects and got to know about this profession and how things work in this field. All these things were being done by me as I was really passionate about architect and thus it further pushed me to pursue a career out of it. I wanted to know the basics of the subject so I decided to get enrolled in an American University in Dubai, and this helped to get the better understanding of the subject and how things really work in that profession. So it was a formal introduction of sorts for me into this field of architecture.

One of the most exciting experiences that I had over there was I got to meet Adrian Smith. He is the chief architect of the Tallest Building in the world and it would be an understatement if I say that I was excited. It was one of the better experiences of my life, as he provided me with some valuable inputs about how he became so successful as well as some necessary pointers that will prove really handy with the passage of time.
