Introduction

World War II is considered as one of the world' most deadly war and involved every major player in the world. It started in 1939 and ended in 1945. The outbreak of this war can be attributed to the factors that led to World War I and the Great Depression. As it involved every major power of the world, two communities were formed, namely Allies and Axis. It was a very widespread war, which killed hundreds of people. The major countries in the war had put in everything. They had sacrificed their economy, industries, military and people.

The war started when Poland invaded Germany and France had made a number of declarations of war on Germany. Germany wanted to establish an empire in Europe and in series of treaties and campaigns; Germany had conquered much of Europe. Britain and the Common Wealth were the only two allies left who fought with the Axis. In 1941, the European Axis invaded the Soviet Union which initiated one of the world's largest land theatres of war in history. Japan was also in a war with China since 1937, decided to dominate Asia In 1941. It also attacked the US and conquered much of the region.

The Axis was advancing by conquering many states, but their advancement was stopped as Japan and the European Axis got defeated. Germany was defeated as well in the Eastern Europe and the Axis lost the initiative and the strategy that they were following. The Western Allies, in 1944, invaded France whereas; Germany was invaded by the Soviet Union and regained all territorial losses also.

When the Polish and Soviet troops captured the Berlin, war ended in Europe when Germany was forced to surrender in 1945. In the same year, war in Asia ended as well when Japan agreed to surrender. Finally, the war ended in 1945 when the Allies won over Germany and Japan. As a result of the war, the political alignment and social structure of the world was altered. In order to prevent such events in future, United Nations was formed. United States and Soviet Union emerged as super powers which initiated the Cold War that lasted for 46 years. Countries, which lost their, economies and industries in the war moved towards economic rehabilitation.

Japan and Germany were intimidating to command the world. During the invasion Hitler's armies pillaged and enslaved. In contrast, American armies provided confectionary, nourishment ration, and surgery while they liberated the dropped nation. However, it was when the American's was in Berlin that the concept of democracy disperses amidst the German. It was because the armies didn't heal the German persons like enemies. Instead they were treated like liberated persons, with the confectionary, tobacco, and nourishment passed to them like the liberated countries before them.
