ABSTRACT

The research aims at analysing the effectiveness of current interpretation at museums. The research will focus on the heritage attractions in Liverpool. The major aim of this study is to evaluate the current methods of interpretation used at museums. Further, the research also aims to identify ways to modernize current methods of interpretation and the potential of new technology to bring improvements. Museum exhibitions have been transformed by the addition of digital technology to enhance the visitor experience. The research comprises of primary, as well as secondary research, in which, the secondary research is conducted by reviewing literature from various online resources and books. The primary research is performed by conducting an email/questionnaire survey of the various artists working in this field. The study concluded that in order to make the people visit and stay long at the museum requires technological advances and regular interpretation of the heritage attractions of the museums. Moreover, the people are more interested to see the rare historical equipment in the museum. Likewise, it can also be concluded that the participants, who were less aged between 15-20 years considered the current heritage attractions in Liverpool as boring and gloomy.
