Introduction

From the suppression of foot pedalled to foot binding, from property rights to politics, there is a vast change in innovation that can transform a women's life. Women have been seen using simple technology as compare to men. The major shift has been seen in past few years, in shared approach what women can possibly do; or increasing trend of access for women to savings, opportunities, credit, economic opportunities and employment (Burman, 1994, pp, 155-78). The contemporary world has seen the increasing trend in the history, to leverage innovation, enhance the life of poor women, and realise their potential through empowering them. Empowerment and innovation has been discussed rarely but the significance of both of these terminologies has a direct impact on human's progress. Both gender equality and innovation, apparently has underpin the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) of all time. Both require existing predefined thinking and acting parameters to realise the need of empowering women and relate it with the potential of innovation. Both the activities require altering the prior patterns and the perspective of male dominance (Haraway, 1998).

The significance for this concern requires ensuring women's economic, political and social rights considering their participation. In addition, the focus should be on development of women, for that, gender equality is the most important factor in viewing women is potential to be innovative and develop her personality accordingly. Innovation can also benefit women simply by enhancing their well-being in terms of nutrition, life span, health and income. Innovation can lead to the empowerment of women and they can secure freedom. Empowerment can be supported by the major resources provide to women in making decisions, building confidence and to give them work of their own interest.

The transformation in innovation with respect to the roles of men and women has reshaped the criteria of a contemporary world. Before women were abound by many things such as, they were immobile but now they are free to move, they were silent but in today's world they have a power of voice, before they were dependent on other but now they are the source of progress and they earn for their businesses, families and communities. It can be easily identified that the innovation has played a wide role in the development of women's empowerment and it works as a catalyst in the ongoing progress and development of women throughout.

Although there is a need of understanding, the social and economic rights of women and people should view the word “feminism” in a broader perspective. Feminism is not just an intellectual exercise, but also the mainstream of political thought, the aim of which is to fight for the equality of women, and thus - to combat sexism in all its forms. Feminism however, is closely related to the policy - in order to change the position of the movement is that men and women occupy in society.
