Abstract

The research paper defines the women role in military. It has the comprehensive findings and theories of how effectively women have participated in the military practices. More than 35000 women provide their services during the Gulf War. The United States of America has always motivated and encourages women to participate in the arm forces. The women in military are not a recent phenomenon, but it has existed since years. There have always been significant participants of women in military. Countries like Israel, United Kingdom, United Sates, Germany, and Poland has also benefitted from the women services in military. Introduction

United States of America is the country which recruits more women as compared to any other country in the world. Yet, unlike several other nations, the U.S. has traditionally banned women from all combat positions. The debate over women's participation in combat roles has become particularly acute as a result of recent United States military involvements in Grenada, Panama, Libya, Honduras, and, most recently, the Persian Gulf. Despite their official exclusion from combat duty, women were in fact assigned to posts in these armed conflicts that positioned them in or near the line of fire. More than 35000 women provide their services during the Gulf War. Yet none of these women was formally considered to be serving in a combat position (Carreiras, 1999).

The role of women in the armed forces of countries has changed considerably over the centuries. In earlier eras, most countries and cultures, women's access to the military for different reasons, severely restricted or banned. However, there are in the military history of many individual examples of women who fought in various tasks in the armed forces of their countries. In many cases this was the woman involved, however, only possible because it is a disguised man .
