Introduction

The question of animal rights raises number of questions regarding in what context they should be given rights. What concept of animal rights is the best? Is this the respect, freedom, intrinsic value, love, compassion or something? What should be the basis for animal rights?. I am in favor of the fact that animals have some rights to live their life. The all are not meant to be used for unethical purposes. They help us in our numerous works so we should also give them something back by providing some basic rights. They should be cared for their life that is given to them to live. Some animals are used for experimentation and testing. This is essential in order to protect human's life against diseases present all around us. There is nothing bad about using animals for testing as long as it does not take their life (Clark, 2001).

Animals can be expressed indirectly in cases of abuse. Therefore, it behooves us to answer this question. Concepts that could form the basis of animal rights are: intrinsic value, their welfare, respect, freedom, equality, compassion. Many of these concepts may seem appropriate but they agree with reality. Based on the first mentioned principle, we should exclude the concepts of intrinsic value and respect. Although these concepts are widely used, it is impossible to formulate animal rights are not equivocal. It is perfectly acceptable to mention the intrinsic value and respect when speaking of behavior towards animals, but you can use these concepts to judge human behavior from a legal perspective.

Relationship with animals and the rights that we give them is the ethical concern. Albert Schweitzer said that ethics was rooted in compassion. A law without compassion cannot be justified. The concept of animal rights can be interpreted in very different ways. On the one hand, some will exercise the right to kill animals for consumption or for sport. On the other hand, some people will deny the right to kill the smallest animal that is in error (Steeves, 1999).

It is widely believed that experimentation with animals is necessary to develop vaccines, medicines and treatments for human diseases. Its potential usefulness, whether for humans or animals, is not a sufficient argument to justify animal testing. The heart of the matter is that we have no moral right to free suffering helpless. That it is acceptable to experiment on animals to advance veterinary medicine is in the same vein as saying it is okay to experiment on poor children to care for the rich (Patterson, 2002).

Animal Rights and animal liberation are the main idea of the equivalence of the needs of people and animals. Supporters hold different philosophical perspectives, but all generally share the view that animals should not be considered as private property and used for food, clothing, entertainment, and scientific experiments and rights.
