The purpose of the study is to determine the factors that influence the consumer's preferences for online shopping. Vast range of literature regarding the topic under study is already available. However, there is a need to comprehend the previous studies, identify the gaps and recommend the possible future research venue in the same field. Internet has become mainstream of our daily lives and it is imperative for sellers to identify such factors that can help them understand their customer changing preferences. Introduction

In recent years, the trends in shopping have incorporated a drastic change. The notion of e-shopping has completely revolutionized the ways a normal consumer used to shop for goods. The internet has not only enhanced the communication but also commenced new trends in electronic shopping. Now days, consumer can order anything right from his/her personal computer from eatables to daily groceries, electronic gadgets to manual tools, book airline tickets, purchase books from eBook store and even find the best rate for mortgage and insurance. Such drastic changed has not happened just over night. There is a series of factors which has culminated into the increase trend of online shopping. Keeping in view the significance of emerging shopping trends from online stores, our study will aim to identify the factors that have influence consumers to shop from the internet.

The study conducted in Hong Kong by Limayem, Khalifa & Frini (2000) showed that subjective norms, outlook, and convictions concerning the outcome of online shopping have momentous influence on consumers' intent to shop online.
