Introduction

Health care is a general facility which is availed by people all over the world. No matter, the person is rich or poor; old or young; male or female, he or she needs to avail these services. Health care is typically provided to individual patients. The ethics of health care focuses issues related to several stakeholders, including providers, families, third party payers and corporations, institutions and patients. Health educators are solely responsible for maintaining the integrity and ethics of the health profession, these individuals face occasional challenges in their daily life while making decisions. Code of Ethics gives a framework of values that are followed by professions including Health Education. The ethics of health care is a subject that covers everything such as regulations and considerations regarding the providers, patients, insurance companies and billing third-party groups. In this paper I will discuss the implications of the concepts of virtue and value in health care and their significance in rehabilitation of patients.

Virtue and Value

Virtue is a diversified terminology and encrypts various meaning in various aspects. However when we use this term in health care it means, “Doing the right thing”. The concept of virtue in health care revolves around the idea of truth, integrity, certainty and accuracy of conduct, speech and actions. Health care facilities are responsible for the rehabilitation of patient and therefore it is important that they are accurate and efficient in providing medical care to the patients. The introduction of these moral directives requires the particular devotion and even heroism, which are a special advantage of health care practitioners and the highest ethical advantage.
