United States of American is the super power of the world but still it does not enjoy exception from the universal challenges and threats. Those people who denied these challenges finally woke up after the terrorist's stroke on the financial hub in New York. After 9/11 attack authorities in the USA strongly though to come up with various measures so that the state could be safer so in this way they introduced USA Patriot Act of 2001. The Patriot Act in the United States is the strictest and forceful weapon against terrorism and international organized crime was the response of the U.S. Congress, to the attacks of September 11, 2001 (Cole, 2002). This Act is largely based on the resolutions of the fiftieth general assembly and of resolutions 1373 and 1390, the United Nations in New York, the minutes of nationality and immigration in the United States and the American National Security Act. This law has been revised and updated at different times, but has been challenged by civil rights groups in the United States for violating the rights of privacy and confidentiality of information, remains in force and more force. For three years Authorities are working with the new things in the Patriot Act of the United States, which actually are not new for themselves, but because of the importance, impact and approach this new regulation has given them (Wong, 2006).
Discussion
Since the introduction of the Patriot Act, October 26, 2001, the associations of civil liberties groups have mobilized massively in the United States to condemn this unprecedented attack, including during maccar thysme, against civil liberties. Many counties and municipalities have opposed the application of this law and, on April 29, the State of Hawaii adopted a similar resolution. USA Patriot Act of 2001 has significantly expanded the rights of law enforcement agencies and limited civil liberties in the fight against terrorism. The fourth amendment clearly articulates that the people of America have every right to be safe and secure in their houses and personal life, and they cannot be subjected to unannounced or unwarranted searches or arrests, under any imaginable circumstances (Wong, 2007). The authorities can neither subject the individual to interrogation or apprehension, without a substantial cause and permission from a superior authority. However, the USA Patriot Act clearly does not value any of the conditions stated above. The authorities given to the government and other institution enable them to search the house and subject the individual to interrogation and apprehension without any permission or warrant. This stance by the Patriot Act has clearly alerted the fourth amendment, as no value is given to the individual and liberty rights.
Moreover, similar is the case with the first amendment, the Patriot Act also clearly negates what the first amendment entails that congress has no authority to pass any legislation or law that may be in direct contradiction or confrontation with the open and free practice of the religions ...
