Executive summary

This study is about understanding the information technology and systems used by Toyota Corporation, across the different domains of the company to integrate the departmental flow and work processes, to improve production with minimization of cost and optimization of profits. This report is prepared on the basis of in depth interviews and survey with a questionnaire to the management, executives and customers. The identification made what makes the loyal customer of Toyota (JCN Newswire, 2010, p. n.d).

Introduction

Company`s Background

Toyota Company came in to being in 1933, head quarter in Japan, with the division name of company Toyoda Automatic Loom Works. The basic function of the Toyoda Company to make textile goods and export it to the global clients. The name of Toyota Company named on Kiichiro Toyoda. He visited to United States and Europe 1929 to know the production of automobiles, and he want to be innovative in the field of automobiles and then begin researching for liquid fuel mechanical engines. Toyoda Textile Loom Works in 1930, they were ready to establish the automobiles manufacturing with the collaboration of Japanese Government. In the beginning, they are encouraged to produce domestic vehicles to promote the company and to the development of the nation`s transportation and infrastructure. After the world war 2nd with China. Toyota produces it is the first Type A-Engine which are used in public transports and trucks. In competition with the Automobile industry`s giants like Dodge and Chevrolet, Toyota Company has to travel a long way to increase it is market share and penetration, they need to have more innovations and technology use to produce cars.

Although the Toyota Company is the world's leading manufacturer of automobiles with the growth of 16 per cent in 2012, with respect to other automobile companies of the world. Toyota Company is best known to its automobiles and considered being luckier than Toyoda. Toyoda Company still works in the textile, making automatic looms they are now using robotic technology and latest use of computer technology with information systems. They are producing electric sewing machines, available worldwide (Toyota, 2013, p. n.d).

Postwar Growth

After the massive loss in world war 2nd Japan faced many challenges like development of infrastructure, economic rehabilitation and industrial development. Toyota Company was on the edge of bankruptcy in 1949 they have eventually decided to go for a loan from the Asian development bank.
