The education communities and state are constantly involved in evolving the K12 in order to provide unparalleled and unmatched education and learning experience. 3 major events which changed the K12 curriculum and created a positive impact on the students along with teachers

Three Major Events having Biggest Impact on Education

NCLB

NCLB or the No Child Left behind Act was implemented in 2002. President George W Bush signed the act and made it into a law. Since then it has been into for 10 years. The NCLB made the biggest impact on the education system in the United States. NCLB has lead the state to ensure greatest level of standards and higher accountability throughout the K12 schooling system in United States. This act ensures that no child is left behind for seeking education. Its provision includes that the students of all types including disabled students will be able to learn and achieve proficiency in English Language. Highly Qualified and professional teachers will teach the students in 2005-06. English learning students will be able to gain complete command on English Language and learning will take place in those schools, which will be safe, drug free. All those students will be graduating from high school (NEA, 2013).

21st Century Leadership

A United States enters 2010 most of the school claim that they are providing excellent education to the students and preparing them for life and work, which they will face and have to do in 21st Century. The partnership for 21st Century was created in 2002. 21st Century Leadership aims at filling the gap, which happens due to difference in the knowledge provided at the K12 level and the knowledge required at workplaces and communities across the country. Their mission is to ensure that the each child in United States must possess the 21st Century skills in order to perform, compete and succeed as an effective performer in the workplace or communities. They provide partnership and work in collaboration in order to provide a fit or alignment between the class environment and world environment in order to strengthen the knowledge base of students by providing them real time education. 14 states in the US have developed partnerships and collaboration in order to implement and promote the mission of 21st Century (P21, 2013).

Best Collaboration By Government and Policy Makers

Benchmarking for Success: Ensuring U.S. Students Receive a World-Class Education was a report released in 2008. National Governors Association in collaboration with the Council of State School Officers and Achieve Inc., released the report. The view proposed in the report stated that the action on urgent basis is required regarding amendments in the curriculum. The report presented a view, which stated that the students require world Class education and more opportunities college admissions and successful careers.
