ABSTRACT
In this study we try to explore the concept of “The Polish School of poster” in a holistic context. The main focus of the research is on “The Polish School of poster” and its relation with “graphic design”. The research also analyzes many aspects of “The Polish School of poster” and tries to gauge its effect on “graphic design”. For a number of years since, lifetime of designers have been producing attractive works still each creative individual presents an exclusive approach and expression. The artistic quality of Polish Poster Design has been confirmed by world wide recognition. These designers have received awards in international competitions and exhibitions year after year.

CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION
Polish Poster Art started during the Polska, or Young Poland era. It was a time span that continued from approximately 1890 until about 1914. Before this, the most convincing parts of artwork from Poland were timber slashes from the folk creative individuals of the rural areas and paintings. It is not astonishing, then, that the first posters were conceived by painters and were very powerfully leveraged by Polish folk art. The creative individuals, at the time, furthermore had their eyes open as to what additional was going on in the world round them. At this time Art Nouveau was the whole craze in Western Europe. Polish creative mind-set rotated round reviving Polish Modernism and next the ideals of Art Nouveau. (Zamoyski 2010, 05)
If we take a look at Sztuka by Teodor Axentowicz (1859-1938) we glimpse that its method is very much reminiscent of Art Nouveau. Another of the early poster creative individuals was Stanislaw Wyspianski (1869-1807). He was a decorator that had traveled all over Europe. His posters set the benchmark for what was to become of Polish poster art. One of his posters is for a play that was presented only two times in Poland. The drawing and text in that poster are not just illustrations of the play, rather, they are a commentary on the content. The distinction is that any individual can show what occurs in the play, but Wyspianski was adept to get to the centre significance of the play with straightforward pictures and text. Yet another early poster creative individual was Karol Frycz (1887-1963), a theater set designer and a painter. In 1904 he conceived a poster for Melpomena's Portfolio.
