Speech from the Throne: Expanding Investment and Trade for Canada
Introduction
This essay aims to discuss the speech that was delivered by the Governor General of Canada, on account of the opening day of the Forty-first Parliament of Canada. The audience of the speech was Members of the House of Commons in a spirit of providing a better future for the country. The theme of the speech is to discuss the steps towards prosperity and reinforce a commitment towards taking Canada to greater progress and development in the coming times. We will discuss the components of speech in the next section while assessing the effectiveness of the government's direction and mission towards peace, progress and prosperity in the country.

The government of Canada destines to acquire a better future for its countrymen, where they have all the basic rights to live and prosper in a safe environment. There were some significant direction in the speech of the Governor General that addresses some key concerns for the Canadian Government in order to ensure prosperity, peace, and economic stability within the country. We discuss each of these steps and plans in a brief manner. Canada realizes that it has a crucial role to play in this regard. One of the major steps in this regard was taken when the Prime Minister and Minister of Finance joined the leaders of the G20 in Washington, D.C. to assess and re- examines the monetary regulations and controls of the world's financial system. Increasing Community Participation Canadian government is making efforts to increase community participation in the society for greater collaboration with state affairs. Community participation will aid the government in receiving feedback and contributions from its citizens in all spheres of the economy (Ellis, 2005).
